Hang Loose Surf Company’s home lake is Lake Ida, but the company will meet anyone interested in wake surfing on any lake at any time. It is perfect for family reunions, birthday parties, bachelor or bachelorette parties, employer sponsored groups, or romantic sunset cruises.
Wake surfing really is fun for the whole family. “We have taught 4 year-olds and 70 year-olds in the same day! It is honestly fun for the entire family,” says owner Mike Jost. “We enhance people’s lake experience by bringing them a surfable wave and teaching them how to surf it. We also offer wakeboarding, paddle boarding, and just plain cruising around the lake.”
Hang Loose Surf Company is open from April 1st to October 31st. The boat comfortably seats 14 guests, but students are limited to 2 surfers per hour booked to ensure better comprehension of surfing. The packages can be customized and vary, but most include captain, first mate, boat, gas, equipment, surfing instruction and towels. Still photos, video footage, beverages, and snacks are also available. If a customer would like to request any special items during their charter, those can be made available for the cost of the item and a small fee.
